Stephanie Stahl Hamilton is an Arizonan born in Flagstaff, who spent her early childhood years on Navajo Tribal Lands. After completing her Masters of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary, Stephanie and her husband Derek made Tucson their home.
Stephanie was the Regional Lead for Save Our Schools working to successfully defeat the voucher expansion that was signed into law in 2017.
“I will hold steadfast to my original campaign promise to Fight Like a Mom to get things done for Arizona. It’s because of your support that I have the platform to bring about the change Arizonans are counting on: better education, expanded access to quality health care, sensible gun safety laws, and equal rights for all,” she said.

Voters in LD10 elected her to be a state Representative in 2020 and her term ends in 2024. However, she has decided to run for the Senate seat in LD10, formerly occupied by Kirsten Engel.
Progress Arizona named her one of the most progressive legislators in Arizona.
She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA and is currently serving as Parish Associate at St. Mark’s. Stephanie served on TUSD’s Family Life Curriculum Committee, dedicating hundreds of hours reviewing and revising the curriculum.
Facing strong opposition, she has proven her commitment to the children in our community, by completing an inclusive, updated, and relevant curriculum that addresses the well-being of the children in the district.
Stephanie’s role as the Executive Director of Montlure Presbyterian Church Camp enabled her to meet and serve children from all over Arizona. It was their faces, stories, and connection to their communities that lent a more comprehensive perspective of the critical role played by policies put into place by the State Legislature.
