Three Questions for Corporate Shill, Senator Kyrsten Sinema

Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin face the same unpopularity with voters in both Arizona and West Virginia. I don't like either one's "my way or the highway" attitude or Sinema's tiresome antics. Sinema, who takes money from corporate interests that opposed the Biden agenda, appears to have sold her vote. Emily Kirkland of Progress Arizona, said of Sinema, "I think she's just really invested in that self-image." This would explain her position on issues such as getting rid of the filibuster, raising the debt ceiling, or building back better. Sinema and Machin arrogantly believe that they, and [...]

Dear Senator Sinema: About the Filibuster and Impeachment

At this point, I believe it is important once more to let you know my concerns about your vote on two more important issues as the new Congress gets down to important business. Filibuster Rule The first issue is adopting a Senate Rule concerning voting practices, commonly known as the Filibuster Rule. News reports in Arizona suggest that you and perhaps your colleague from West Virginia, Senator Manchin, will vote to sustain the Filibuster Rule that would require the Senate to pass most legislation with a 60-vote majority. In former times this was a time-honored rule. In those former times [...]

Profiles in Cowardice

Republican politicians have been enabling Trump since day one of his Presidency. His statements before and during his Presidency have now totaled 29,508 false and misleading claims. (Washington Post and Fact Checker) But for some reason, this hasn't made a bit of difference to his followers or Republican lawmakers. For any other person running for office, something like the Access Hollywood tape would finish them. But not Trump. His hold on some of the American public was something not seen in politics often. Seditious Arizona Representatives who should be removed: David Schweikert, Paul Gosar, Andy Biggs, and Debbie Lesko. [...]

Today’s Confederacy Festers in Trump Terrorists

After the Civil War, Confederates spun a tale claiming they lost their treasonous insurrection because they had erred in tactics. Also, they said, the North had more economic and military resources. Rather than confess the bankruptcy of their political, economic, and religious culture, they embraced these diversions. This same Confederacy is today embodied in Trump/Pence-world conservatism. They too are already focusing on election strategies and tactics. Like their 19th century bedfellows, they are refusing to admit the depravity of their values, worldviews, and behaviors. The FBI is seeking the identity of this terrorist. On January 6, the four-year aggregate of [...]

Lincoln Project: Georgia Senate Runoff Elections are a Battle Against McConnell’s Obstructionism

By David Gordon|December 2nd, 2020|National Elections, National Politics The latest Lincoln Project Ad, “On the Ballot” tells the viewers that the Georgia Senate Runoff Elections are not only a race between Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock against Republicans Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. It is about saving the Senate from the obstructionism of Mitch McConnell. The narrator starts the ad, relaying that Ossoff and Warnock are running to serve the people of Georgia while Loeffler and Perdue are seeking office to benefit themselves (as evidenced by their stock transactions after receiving secret COVID briefings) and obstruct the Biden/Harris agenda [...]

Joe Biden Needs a 34-state Strategy to Win The Country

On July 12, 2020, Joe Biden is currently in an enviable position in most national and battleground Presidential polls. According to recent polling by the people at the Cook Report, he is leading by wider margins than Hillary Clinton ever did in 2016 and has commanding strength in states that went to Trump after going twice for Barack Obama. A July 12 headline in the Washington Post highlighted a “coming tsunami” for Democrats in November. His position is so strong right now that Democratic operatives are advising him to campaign more vigorously in once perceived Trump strongholds in Iowa, Georgia, [...]
