About The DGT
Democrats of Greater Tucson holds Arizona’s ONLY weekly forum for Democrats.
Mondays at Noon
We host an online event via Zoom every Monday at Noon with one or more Guest Speakers (most often Democratic candidates and office-holders) addressing subjects of political and/or community interest.
We also have begun doing events in the evenings on an ad hoc basis to accommodate different schedules, and to have longer events for Panel Discussions among experts and groups of office-holders and/or candidates.
Meet in person with fellow DGT Members and Mystery Guests (most often candidates and office-holders)
Happy Hours are every third Wednesday from 4 to 6pm at Brother John’s Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ

The History of DGT
The Democrats of Greater Tucson celebrated its 44th year in November 2023. Before 1979 DGT was known as the Young Democrats of Greater Tucson, but as some of our members began to mature we thought a name change was appropriate. We achieved this longevity through the dedication of many volunteers as the maxim that all Democrats get to speak. As long as one is a “Member of the Democratic Party,” one could get on the speaker’s list. As a result, DGT attendees have heard from Democrats across the wide spectrum of the party and our communities, leaving all who participate richer as the result.
